Quick Facts about the HP Technology for Teaching Grant Effort at Loyola University Chicago

HP has provided support for a project titled: Learning the Wonders of Computing with Wireless Collaboration – 24 x 7 Online!

Number of Students To Date:

Students use the HP tablet computers 24 x 7 during the semester and class size is limited to 20. To date, 40 students have completed the course and enjoyed the benefit of tablet computing for all their other studies and recreation.

Number of Faculty Involved:

The grant research is carried on by three faculty memebers of the Department of Computer Science.

In addition to these faculty, other faculty in the department and university are investigating additional applications of the tablets to teaching at both the university and high school levels.

Course Impacted:

Computer Science 150, Introduction to Computing, a university core course, open to all students with no prerequisites required.
