Checkers (Draughts)
Up one levelA much more interesting game to play. Many areas to work on: user interface, board and move system design, communication between players, and computing solutions. Did you know the game has been "solved"?

- Our implementations will be based on this set of rules for the game. Think it needs changes? We can ask the Configuration Management Board. Version 2.0 now approved by the CCB with some clarifications of the rules.

- Very nicely done. Good ideas for user interface with mouse or touch screen. Nice feel to the moves.

- Use this instead of inventing something new! It is well established with human and computer checker players!
- Portable Draughts Notation for Moves and Games — by Dr. William L. Honig — last modified 2015-02-13 11:57 AM
- PDN (Portable Draughts Notation) is the standard file format for checkers games. Many, but not all programs support this standard. You should not settle for a program which does not support this standard if you are serious about improving your game - lots of game collections exist in PDN for you to study and improve.
- PDN Version 3.0 — by Dr. William L. Honig — last modified 2015-02-13 12:09 PM
- The complete and current Portable Draughts Notation standard. See for details.
